The Fish Inn Motel offers two rooms – The Rainbow Trout and The Brown Trout. The rooms are attached to the East side of our 2-story building in Craig while the West half of the building contains our Fly Shop!  Each room has two, comfortable extra-long, single beds (new in 2023), a large, private bath, satellite TV and wireless internet, refrigerators and microwaves.  Free coffee is available each morning in the shop.  We used special “quiet construction” techniques utilizing double insulated walls, double pane windows and central heat and air conditioning, so the rooms will be comfortable in any weather.

This facility is located within walking distance of our Fly Shop, the Missouri River and the Craig Boat Ramp, The Craig Bar (aka Uncle Joe’s) and Izaak’s Restaurant.  This is a very popular place to stay, so please try to book as early as possible, especially for May, June, July, late September and early October.  The Fish Inn Motel is available all year long so check out our off-season special pricing for your late Fall or Winter visit to the Missouri.

    Our pet policies cover common sense issues by which you would probably abide regardless. Generally, what we expect from you during your stay at CrossCurrents Fly Shop is that you be responsible for your pet and that you ensure that your pet does not interfere with our other guests’ stay.

    1. If your dog is not comfortable with other people and other dogs around, if they bark excessively when left alone in a strange place; if they have any tendencies to be confrontational, defensive or fearful around other dogs or people; if they might be so upset as to damage our property in their efforts to get out of their room; then please do not bring them with you.
    2. There is a two dog limit per room.
    3. Your pet must be up-to-date on vaccinations including rabies, kennel cough and distemper. It is not necessary to have proof with you, however, if necessary, you must be able to provide proof from your vet.
    4. Your pet must be leashed at all times when out of your room.
    5. You must pick up your pet’s droppings immediately and dispose of them properly in our outdoor trash receptacle.
    6. You may leave your pet unattended in your room, however please be aware that you will be held responsible for any damage your pet might do while you are away. You know your dog best, so please use your good judgment regarding leaving your dog alone. If your dog barks while you are gone, we will call you to return to the premises.
    7. Your pets are not allowed on any of our furniture. A $50 cleaning charge will be applied for soiled or excessively hairy blankets, spreads, sheets or sofas. If your animal urinates or defecates on our carpeting you will be responsible for cleaning or replacing the carpet at a minimum cost of $100.
    8. Owners will be held responsible for any damage to property done by their animal and for any injury their animal might cause to another guest or an employee or owner(s) of CrossCurrents, Inc.
    9. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any or all animals, and we reserve the right to terminate your stay with no monetary refund if our rules are deliberately disregarded.
Open April 15 through October 10, The Fishin’ Shack is our very comfortable answer to economy lodging on the Missouri.  The “Shack” is a renovated and furnished Magnolia single-wide trailer.  It has one large bedroom with two comfortable XL single beds and a full bath.  There is a microwave oven, and a refrigerator-freezer for keeping ice cream and 6-packs of bee… ‘er, I mean soda… cold.  It has a good A/C unit for summer and stand alone heaters for chilly nights.  There is a sizable redwood deck out front with a table and chairs for hanging out with a cocktail and cigar after a great day of fishing.  It also features a gas grill for BBQ dinners. This is the place to stay when you are on vacation to fish and not to spend the whole time in your hotel room.  And with its polyester curtains and redwood deck, why even Sammy Kershaw would feel like a king in The Fishin’ Shack!

NOTE FOR 2023:  We plan on using The Fishing’ Shack for Staff Housing.  However, if we are able to acquire other housing options for our staff, than we will again rent out the Shack to our Customers. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this might pose to our Fishing’ Shack Fans (you know who you are!!). We will keep you posted about this here on our website.

Just down the street from our fly shop and The Fish Inn Motel is the CrossCurrents Cottage with its large lawn and tall pine trees and shaded patio.  The first thing guests are impressed with about the Cottage is the sizable Kitchen, Dining Room and Living Room.  There is plenty of space to stretch out in the Cottage.  The house was remodeled in 2022/23 making the one, large bedroom into two bedrooms and renovating the bathroom and adding a tankless water heater.  There are two, extra-long single beds in each off the bedrooms.  Out in the spacious Living Room, along with tables, chairs and an entertainment system, is a Full-Size Sleeper Couch and an optional XL Twin roll away beds with memory foam mattresses (for groups larger than 4).  You could also check out your favorite fishing show, catch up on the news, weather and sports or watch a movie in the Living Room on the satellite TV with a DVD player and a library of DVD’s (yes we still have some of those!).  The Kitchen is fully equipped and has a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.  Guests enter from the “back door” on the southwest side of the house where there is a large Mudroom for hanging your waders and rods.  The large, shaded patio on the South side has a gas grill and patio furniture for cooking and relaxing after a day on the river.  A nice feature of the Cottage is the central heat and air-conditioning – so comfortable no matter what time of year.  There is also a washer and dryer available for longer term renters. In 2022/23 we installed Starlink Hi-Speed Satelite Internet as well as a cell phone booster system so you can still be a little connected while you unwind.   Perfect place for anglers but it’s also popular in the late Fall for big game and bird hunters.
