Flows this morning are at 3,640 cfs. Water temps at 64. The air temperature should hit 81+/- today with an overnight low of 54.  August is right around the corner folks!  If August goes the way the rest of the summer has we will see things happen earlier than usual.  The hopper fishing should be turning on better day by day now.  It’s a great afternoon activity as well.  The cooler temps we are experiencing shouldn’t stay very long.   Enjoy the temps while they do last and stay on the water a little longer into the afternoon the bar will stay open trust me.  This is going to be a good week for lower than average temperatures and wind.

Fish the Trico’s and caddis in the morning, Caddis and PMDs into the evening with terrestrials in between. There has been some good Caddis fishing in the morning and evenings.   If your nymph fishing stick with a heavy fly upfront like a Czech Nymph and drop a PT looking pattern off the back and hang on!
