The Dr. Slick Tyer Tool Set includes 7, top quality tools made from brass and stainless steel and are meant to last a lifetime. Kit includes:

1- SAP4G All Purpose 4″ Scissors:  Total of 4″ long.  Straight blades.  Large gold loop.  Micro-serrated blades (excellent at grabbing and cutting the finest materials).  The name says it all! Medium length with blades designed for small, medium and large flies. The one to have in your traveling kit. Excellent for natural materials and can handle most synthetics.
2- CBOB4 Bobbin:  4″ long.  Ceramic insert.  Bobbins are the critical tool in tying since they must keep smooth tension on the thread spool and have super smooth inserts to apply the thread to your fly. To this end, Dr. Slick created this bobbin that handle these tasks with ease. Delrin feet for smooth tension on the thread spool, and has dual ceramic inserts for smooth application of thread to fly. These funnel shaped inserts allow for a smoother application of thread or other materials as the bobbin is rotated, and they cause less breakage than traditional pipe or straight edged inserts.
3- BOD:  5″ long.  Brass handle w/ stainless steel needle. Half-Hitch Tool in handle.  2-in-1 indispensable tying tool used to apply head cement, tease materials on a fly or tie a half hitch.
4- BT:  5.5″ long.  Brass handle has a built in Half-Hitch Tool.  This 2-in-1 tool is used to pull the end of your thread into the Bobbin tube and to tie half-hitches.
5- HSM:  2″ tall Hair Stacker Medium Brass w/ a neoprene padded base.  This hair evener is the traditional choice. Smooth action and heavy. Low static build up.
6- WF4:  4″ brass and stainless steel, 2-in-1 knot tying tool with a built-in half-hitch tool in the base of the brass handle.  The quickest way to finish off your fly and give it a professional appearance.
7- HP:  2.25″ Brass Hackle Plier with rubber tubing on one jaw for a secure, but gentle grip.  Non-rotary pliers are best for simple application of hackles to flies.
8- Tool Caddy/Fly Box:  Kit comes in an 8.25″ x 4.5″ x 1.5″ Fly Box w/ ripple foam.  The tools are held in place by die cut foam.  Most people continue to use the box to hold their tools but you can pull the die-cut foam out and use it for the flies you’ll tie with this kit!
