Double Double Trouble Mr. Brown Trout!
Flows this morning are at 3,110 cfs. Water temps at 64. The air temperature should hit 86+/- today with an overnight low of 56. We should have a beautiful day here on the MO, afternoon winds could pick up as usual for this time of year. The hopper fishing is here for sure, be persistent with it, it will pay off. The cooler temps we are experiencing shouldn’t stay very long. Enjoy the temps while they do last and stay on the water a little longer into the afternoon. Joe’s will still be open. This is going to be a good week, mid 80’s temps with cloud cover and a slight chance for more of these isolated thunder storms. Enjoy your day fishing the Missouri River!
Fish the Caddis in the morning, Caddis and PMDs into the evening with terrestrials, HOPPERS being your go to all day. Don’t forget to drop a PT off that Hopper! There has been some good Caddis fishing in the morning and evenings. If your nymph fishing stick with a heavy fly upfront like a Czech Nymph and drop a PT looking pattern off the back and hang on!
