The Orvis PRO men’s fishing wader is built for the professional angler, whether by trade or simply by passion, who will go to whatever extreme necessary to find fish. Built with an athletic fit, the PRO Wader uses an extremely durable proprietary four-layer Cordura® shell in the upper and five-layer Cordura shell in the lower legs for the best-in-class abrasion and puncture resistance. Low profile seam construction and a gusseted crotch enhance movement and seam strength. Modern anatomically correct neoprene booties have less bulk with a true “sock” feel and are more comfortable inside wading boots, while the streamlined PU reinforced mesh gravel guard covers the boot tightly and completely eliminates drag and water collection. Convenience features include an external storage pocket with YKK AquaGuard® water-resistant zipper to keep essentials dry and prevent loss. Rubberized tabs on suspenders and front pocket daisy chain for tool docking, offer multiple locations for essentials and eliminate chance of puncturing waders or losing tools. Fly patch on front pocket for quick changes and drying. Large four-way stretch power mesh interior pocket expands to fit larger items yet stays out of the way when empty. Kangaroo style fleece-lined handwarmer pockets with YKK AquaGuard water-resistant zippers. Removable OrthoLite® X25 knee pads use the same technology found in our PRO Boot insole for optimal comfort and rebound. Removable accessory pocket allows for quick access to gear and offers the features of a small pack. Adjustable elastic suspenders with opposing buckles for waist-high conversion. Wader weighs approximately 48 oz. in (medium regular). Interior hook-and-loop patch accommodates our Orvis waterproof pocket (8G3H sold separately). 100% nylon shell with polyurethane membrane. 100% nylon tricot liner. Imported.

Shop Staff Notes:  In the Spring of 2019, Chris and Ben got a couple of pairs of these new Orvis PRO Waders to field test. Both think these waders are the most comfortable and durable wader Orvis has ever made and edges out the competition for features, looks and performance. These are not a pair of wimpy waders! They will last the hard core angler or Guide for many years and for the occasional weekend angler that wants the best, these will last more than a decade. At first, the knee pads seemed a little weird and overkill, but the first time you kneel down to sneak up on that rising trout or land and release a fish, you really appreciate this well thought out feature.  It’s removable if you’re mostly a boat angler so no big deal if you don’t care to have them. The suspenders are comfortable and super beefy.  So many older waders have had thin, flimsy elastic that wore out after a season or two. That doesn’t appear to be the case with this new design.  Using Cordura fabric in the construction of the Orvis PRO Waders makes perfect sense for those of us who don’t always stick to the path when we make our way to the river!  The gravel guards are pretty cool too -part of them are made out of the same PU Mesh material as the Orvis PRO Wader Boot. They have some stretch and drain in seconds so you don’t get the water balloons at your ankles like other gravel guards.  If you want the best wader out there, look no further than the Orvis Men’s PRO Waders!  We recommend pairing these stockingfoot waders with the new Orvis PRO BOA Boot or  Orvis PRO Wader Boot or the Korkers Darkhorse,  For wading in three season (Autumn, Winter and Spring), get yourself a pair of Orvis PRO Underwader Pant or Redington I/O Fleece Pants to where under these waders to stay warm, dry and comfy -and catch more fish!
